2018 YIOZ Membership Dues

Due to the overwhelming desire on the part of the membership to continue a security presence, the Board has met and agreed to make the $300 security assessment part of annual dues. As such, instead of paying separately for dues and for the security assessment, the Board has increased 2018 dues by the amount of the security assessment and will discontinue the separate security assessment. This will both improve accounting as well as ensure the burden is shared by all.  The amounts for 2018 dues (which cover the period between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018) are as follows (and we welcome payments of 2018 dues at this time or in the beginning of 2018)

  • $1,550 for families
  • $1,050 for families that become members of YIOZ during 2018
  • $1,050 for singles
  • $1,050 for retired couples

Please note that unlike many congregations, payment of annual dues includes seats for your immediate family on the yamim noraim; YIOZ does not charge extra for our membership to have a meaningful yamim noraim experience with us.  We only ask that if a family has guests for the yamim noraim that they make an additional contribution to seat their guests.

Checks made out to YIOZ can be sent to the following address:

YIOZ

6015 Riverdale Avenu

Bronx, NY 10471

Alternatively, dues can be paid via the YIOZ website by filling out the payment form at the bottom of this page.

Of course, we realize that our membership rates may represent a hardship for some and, as always, we are committed to making YIOZ membership accessible in a respectful and dignified manner regardless of your financial circumstances.  If you cannot afford to pay the full amount of dues or would like to discuss options concerning making payments in installments, please reach out to Rabbi Hain at shmuelhain@gmail.com to make an arrangement.

We, the YIOZ officers, and Board members look forward to serving the shul to the best of our abilities.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us with questions, comments, or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Gur Roshwalb, President

Lee Botnick, Vice President

Sam Groner, Vice President

Sam Susswein, Treasurer

Joshua Neuman, Financial Secretary

Miriam Schacter, Recording Secretary
