Seating for Yamim Noraim

We will have one minyan this year and we are excited to daven together as a community in Ohel Yosef. We are expecting a large crowd, especially for Rosh Hashana, and we welcome YIOZ members, their extended family, and all community members to join us for our uplifting Tefillot. 
This year we will be using a seating chart to ensure that everyone has a seat. It is critical that you register for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur seats by Saturday night, September 13th. Please click here to register.

A couple of reminders:

  • All seats for immediate family members are included in family membership. Please pay any outstanding membership at this time, if you have not yet done so. 
  • Extended family and all guests are always welcome, with a suggested donation of $300 per seat (or $200 per seat if only attending for Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur, not both).
     

 

We ask ALL MEMBERS and guests to register for seats by September 13th.
After that, we will not be able to guarantee seats in one location for your family and guests. 

Babysitting

YIOZ will be providing babysitting for toilet trained children, up to 5th grade. All children will be required to be in babysitting or sitting quietly in shul with a parent. Please click here to register

Schedule and pricing is as follows:

Rosh Hashana (10AM- 1PM) - $30 per child per day

Kol Nidrei 6:15-9:15PM - $25 per child

Yom Kippur Day (10:30AM- 2:30PM) - $40 per child (lunch will be provided)

Neilah 5-7:30PM - $25 per child

Yizkor Book

The Yizkor service, our communal commemoration of departed loved ones, is also a deeply personal experience. YIOZ enhances this tradition by publishing a customized Yizkor book. This book allows all members of the community to see the names of those being remembered, providing a shared opportunity to reflect on and honor their memory. The Yizkor book also provides a fitting way to fulfill Yizkor pledges via a donation to YIOZ in memory of loved ones.

If you would like to include the name of your loved one, please complete the form here.

Sponsorship of $180 includes up to 10 names or you can pay $18 per name.

Kol Haneraim Tallit

While not directly related to Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, the deadlines coincide...

For over a decade we have been using the YIOZ Kol HaNearim tallit, adding a personal element to the beautiful custom of calling all the children and grandchildren in the congregation up for the Kol HaNearim aliyah.

This year, we invite you to join in this beautiful tradition by submitting the names of your children, grandchildren or special visitors to be embroidered on the tallit in time for Simchat Torah.

The cost is $50 per name. Please click here to add names. Please only include only the child's Hebrew name and do not include last names.
